Kimberly L. Martin, CEC
Kimberly Martin is a Certified Executive Coach, Business Coach, best-selling author and Principal of Martin Business Leadership.
Kimberly started her career as an Athletic Therapist, assessing, treating, and rehabilitating amateur and semi-pro athletes. Never in her wildest imagination did she think she would ever have a career in business, let alone sales, but that’s just what happened.
After naively accepting her first sales position with a small physiotherapy equipment company, she quickly realized she had a lot to learn about sales and business! It took a couple of years and some hard knocks to master the business and selling skill sets needed to move into her first corporate position.
Spending 15 years in the corporate world as a top-selling and award-winning sales rep in the healthcare industry, Kimberly reached the position of National Sales Manager at 3M. At this point, she decided to get back into the service industry. Coaching was her first and only choice. After leaving her corporate position, she completed a Masters level program at Royal Roads University graduating as a Certified Executive Coach.
She started her coaching practice, Martin Business Leadership in 2006, became an affiliate coach with Queen’s School of Business and completed OISE/UT’s Certificate in Adult Training and Education. She recently added the title of published author to her credentials, through contributing a chapter to the #1 best-selling anthology book, Overcomer’s, Inc; True Stories of Hope, Courage and Inspiration.
Kimberly’s mission is to take relationship-building and selling to new heights of authenticity and integrity. She provides coaching, tips and tools to position selling as a natural, enjoyable extension of building a service-based practice.
Kimberly offers services and products to health and wellness providers running small to medium-sized businesses. She helps them to utilize their natural strengths and talents to grow their business, bring in new clients, solidify existing relationships, and have enjoyable, authentic, effortless selling interactions.
In 2009, Kimberly’s desire to be a force for positive change led her to the work of Jacqueline Kelm and her Appreciative Living Learning Circles program. Kimberly delivers this program to people in her community looking to reduce stress, cultivate calm in challenging situations, replace patterns of negative thinking with positive uplifting thoughts and beliefs and bring more joy into their lives!
Living near the ‘big smoke’ (Toronto, Ontario), with husband Dave and their Portuguese Water Dog Emma. She revels in her long walks in nature at home and – armed with her “electric bug zapper” – at their cottage.
